Master Builders SA Pre-apprenticeship Program will give 40 lucky candidates the opportunity to learn skills in the building industry and have a taste of a building trade apprenticeship.

Who is it for?

This Pre-apprenticeship Program is suited to both men and women between the ages of 17 – 20 (who have left school). 

What is involved?

The program consists of:

  • Two weeks education program (full time)
  • Up to 80 hours work placement in the industry
  • Post placement evaluation interview

When is this happening

Information Session

Interested people must first attend one of our information sessions:

Date     Wednesday 22nd November 4.00pm – 6.00pm

Location        Master Builders House – 47 South Terrace, Adelaide

Details           Light supper provided and Parents/guardians welcome.


Two-week course and placement

The two-week course and placement will run between November 2017 and March 2018.

NB: Exact dates of the two-week course will be available at the information session.

Why should I do this?

As a part of this FREE program, Master Builders SA will supply you with over $250 worth of personal protective equipment including steel cap boots, work pants and shirt, hardhat and safety glasses.

You will get a taste of what the building industry has to over with no out of pocket costs.

Successful candidates may be offered an apprenticeship in carpentry after completing the placement.

 Where is it at?

Two- week courses will be offered at Ottoway and Lonsdale training facilities. Placement will vary dependent on Host’s building site location. For this reason, it is advisable that candidates have a valid driver’s license and vehicle.
