Master Builders SA is excited to be hosting a private marquee at this year's Balaklava Cup!

The event will be held at the Balaklava Race Course on Wednesday 12 September and with the warmer weather just around the corner, it is sure to be a fantastic day out.

Guest will enjoy betting facilities, a gourmet lunch and premium drinks package all in the privacy of the Master Builders SA marquee.

Transfers to and from the Race Track are also included in the cost - departing Master Builders House at 8:30am and returning at 6:00pm.

Come along to Master Builders SA’s workshop “Introduction to Building” - a 3 hour seminar aimed at providing people with an overview of the critical parts of the building process including contract obligations, builders responsibilities and the Development Approval process. Hear about some of the pitfalls people should avoid and gain an understanding of what good documentation practices look like. The workshop will cover the following topics


  • Minimum wordings
  • Mandatory insurance 
  • Procurement options


  • Required architectural documentation
  • Professionals involved in the process
  • Expected time frames


  • Allowable scope of works
  • Quality checks
  • Required completion forms

The workshop is designed to provide confidence and knowledge to the consumer, making it easier for the end user to commit to a building project.

We will be holding three one-hour information sessions that will present on the three main platforms of Master Builders SA Suite. Please see details for each session below:


Contract Builder

Tuesday 14 August at 4:30pm

Contract Builder replaces Contracts on Disk and Contract Master. You will be able to create online contracts quickly and easily to send to your clients. These include:

  • New House Contract
  • Minor Works Contract
  • Housing Specification
  • Building Schedule
  • Commercial Lump Sum
  • Sub-contractor Agreement


Employment Management System (EMS)

Tuesday 11 September at 4:00pm
EMS is an entry level, ‘cloud-based’ single user system which helps to minimise risks for businesses by assisting with the management of workplace investigations. Including

  • misconduct,
  • poor performance,
  • complaints,
  • counselling,
  • warnings
  • termination of employment.

During the session, we will provide an overview of the program, including how the system encourages managers to adopt best practice and minimise risks in respect of unfair dismissal, adverse action, discrimination and stress claims. We will also cover accessibility, including who can access documents and how to update this.


Work, Health & Safety Resources
Thursday 11 October at 4:00pm

This session will cover your Quality, Safety and Environmental management systems (all document controlled) and aligned with ISO 9001:2016 AS/NZS 4801 ISO 18001:2007 and ISO 14001:2015, including:

  • WHIMS interface to report hazards/incidents and generate reports
  • Integrated Management System (IMS) Manuals, Quality Manuals
  • Management Plans for Quality, WHS, and Environmental

All supporting QHSE (including policies, procedures, forms, WMS, SWMS, SOP’s & SWI’s)
